I am a 63 year old lesbian grandmother who has lived in Northern New Mexico for 22 years. I was born and raised on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, a circumstance that has marked me for life. I have a BA in English Literature and another in Environmental Science. I have done many things to earn my living, but music and writing have keep me alive. I have written a journal for much of my life, and have participated in writing workshops whenever time, finances and circumstances have allowed. It is my intention for this stage of life to make writing my highest priority. I am not published. I am currently part of a poetry workshop with Sawnie Morris, and have been nudged and nurtured along the way by her and other New Mexico writer-teachers Joan Logghe and Summer Wood.
