Shauna Osborn
Shauna Osborn is a Comanche/German mestiza who works as an artist, wordsmith, and community organizer. In 2013, she received a National Poetry Award from the New York Public Library. She is forever indebted to their social media coordinator for placing one of her winning poetry entries on their blog feed between a photo of David Tennant reading and an announcement for a William Gibson event, which simultaneously fueled her sense of accomplishment and nerd girl enthusiasm. Last year she also received the Luminaire Award for Best Poetry from Alternating Current Press and the Native Writer Award from Taos Summer Writers’ Conference. Her creative work is included in issues of As/Us, Adrienne, Cultural Weekly, Hueso Loco, Poets’ Quarterly, Spiral Orb, Mas Tequila Review, Yellow Medicine Review, and Upstreet. shaunamosborn.wordpress.com Visual Artist in Residence, Studio Hour Leader, Consultant, Waves Discussion Series Contributor
