Jane Schulman

Jane Schulman writes poetry and short stories.  She works as a speech pathologist in a Brooklyn public school with autistic and emotionally-disturbed young children. Jane has participated in numerous writing workshops including Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference, the Frost Place Poetry Seminar, and three previous AROHO Retreats.  She’s been a featured poet in local venues and taught senior citizens to write their lives in poetry, fiction, and memoir. She is currently completing her first book of poetry.

Jane lives in Jamaica, Queens and is the mother of four boys and lately,  grandmother of four fabulous girls.  (And one grandson too.)   She is thrilled to be returning to AROHO – meeting up with old friends, challenging her writing vision, and hiking the red hills.
