Jane Schulman
Jane Schulman is a poet and short story writer and teaches senior citizens to write about their lives in poetry, fiction, and memoir. She lives in Jamaica, Queens, and is the mother of four amazing sons and two new daughters-in-law. Finally, more female energy in the family! Jane works as a speech pathologist in a Brooklyn, New York public school, helping autistic and emotionally-disturbed students find and hone their voices. She teaches students to write, retell, and perform stories and organizes Storytelling Festivals in her school and district. Jane’s current passions include writing, sketching, painting, Bible study, gardening, and sailing. She’ll be teaching a “Desert Delight” on the painter, Georgia O’Keeffe, whose life and work was inspired and energized by Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, and the northern New Mexican desert.
