Gabrielle Falco
Gabrielle (Gaby) Falco grew up in Fanwood, New Jersey, and wrote her first poem when she was nine; she’s been writing ever since. Gaby earned her B.A. from Hampshire College in 2010. At Hampshire, Gaby combined her two main interests with a concentration in gender studies and creative writing. Gaby’s senior thesis project was a collection of poems exploring gender construction and sexual violence. She’s passionate about girls’ empowerment and utilizing effective ways to bring out the voices of young women. Gaby has volunteered with Girls LEAP, a program that teaches girls self-defense moves, and has worked as a counselor at the Girls’ Leadership Workshop at the Eleanor Roosevelt Center in Hyde Park, NY. Gaby’s spent the past two years working at the National Network of Abortion Funds in Boston, MA doing advocacy work and grant writing. Gaby is eager to devote a week to spending time with the muses.
