Francie Noyes
I have been a writer all my life, both professionally and poetically. My career included time as a political reporter, business editor and movie critic. I served five years as press secretary for Arizona Governor Jane Hull and won Columnist of the Year from the Arizona Press Club. I facilitated discussions at the annual Scottsdale International Film Festival for eight years. After three decades in Arizona, I now live in Boulder, Colorado. In terms of creative writing, I’ve been working at it equally long. I earned a master’s in literature and creative writing from the University of Wyoming back in the Neolithic era. I’ve participated in workshops with Norman Dubie, Dave Smith and, most recently, Ruth Ellen Kocher. Publications include poems in Marco Polo Arts and a review of a biography of painter Alice Neel in The Critical Flame.
