A Rhode Island native, Bethany Vaccarospends her days juggling roles as a philosophy instructor at the University of Rhode Island, a residential counselor at a women’s homeless shelter, and a potter crafting ceramic flower pots and vases to sell at local farmers markets.  With a wide pool of inspiration to draw from, Bethany writes primarily creative nonfiction essays and short magazine pieces.  Her publications run an unusual gamut fromThe American Scholar to Glamourmagazine. Mind Stretch Contributor.
