A.H.T. Artist Statement:
I am a 16 year old writer who spends her free time writing novels, poetry, and painting scenery.
Much of my life, I’ve enjoyed the advantages of coming from a diverse ethnic background as a
Muslim American I have my own societal challenges to deal with and I often find that the best
way for me to convey my thoughts and feelings about the issues I am most passionate about is
through different forms of writing where I can express who I am in a way that I cannot express in
a conversation.
