Ramona Reeves
Ramona Reeves is a kindergarten dropout who had her hands slapped one too many times for “drawing outside the lines.” Her heroes are Chicken Little, Flannery O’Connor, Maya Angelou, Dolly Parton, Sonia Sotomayor and many other draw-it-how-you-like-it types. Her work has appeared in journals and magazines that were kind enough to read her work and publish it. These include The Ledge, Deep South Magazine, Mobile Bay Monthly, Puerto del Sol, South Coast Poetry Review and a few others. She has also been a finalist in the Austin Chronicle Short Story Contest, received a residency grant from the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, and has taught or will teach fiction for Badgerdog Press, the Flor de Nopal festival, Writers in the Schools, and Gemini Ink. Originally from Alabama, she currently lives in Austin, TX. Marg Chandler Memorial Fellow; Desert Delight Contributor.
