Lane Devereux:  I am a memoirist who works in many different media, including words, images, and constructions. I have a passion for making anything from dessert to altered books, from plays to photographs. I am working on too many projects to probably to ever finish, but I am having a great time doing it all. I am currently completing a full length memoir about adopting and raising a special needs child while gravely ill myself. I live in Cypress, Texas, outside of Houston, with my husband of 36 years. After 32 years of childrearing, I finally have an empty nest, now filled with cats. I am optimistic and fanciful with a streak of Midwestern practicality. My degrees are in English Lit (B.A.) and Technology and Human Affairs (M.A.). I had a successful business career until I became ill with systemic lupus 24 years ago. I never let lupus get in my way.
