Our Work is WAVES
Dear Creative Woman,
In Our Anthem, we release the assumption that there is only one destination for distinguished arts and letters.
A Room of Her Own sponsors a not-for-profit, non-exclusive, open-access digital publication with a long view —to amass a Mother Archive online of the collective memory and long history of women artists and writers and make it accessible to its worldwide community of women. Woven together with the diverse voices and visions of our radiant Waves Anthology and new creative work, WAVES publication hones the global presence of creative women to a pearl.
WAVES continues to organize itself as an expanding vessel for both the anthology and the infinite bounty of the responses it engenders from newly-engaged artists and writers. With your overwhelmingly positive response to empower this work to live and breathe now with no limit to its future possibilities, we usher this beloved work towards a wider global audience and invest in its longevity with the future of digitization and virtual engagement. Together, we reach for something essential: a room that every woman can call her own.
We are publishing now – piece by piece – in our digital WAVES publication and online in an immersive WAVES reader experience in the format of a book, which will continue to expand. You can receive WAVES monthly by signing up for our monthly release, and you can watch the archive grown online here on AROHO’s website. Our virtual Global Camps will serve as unique intersections for contributors, readers, and our global community to engage. We are inviting contributors to attend as writers- and artists-in-residence to Global Camps, and will continue to roll out those special invitations as we roll out global virtual gatherings. We would love to see you there.
