Liz Murata–Reading was my first passion and love.  I tried to write in my youth, but left it behind to pursue what I thought were more practical endeavors.  Now I have found my way back to writing and I write for the same love and joy that reading gives me.  Reading and writing provide opportunities for exquisite adventures that take me away and bring me back to a different place than where I started. I have created a writing life by blending roles as student, teacher, student, writing conference organizer, student, writing contest judge, student, writing group member, student, published author, student, student, student.  I love that I get to scare myself almost every day…each time I look at a blank page.
